Spot‐14 and Spot‐14R play distinct roles in regulating metabolism in brown and beige adipocytes. While both influence lipid and glucose pathways, Spot‐14 uniquely controls thermogenic gene expression. This dual regulation balances energy storage and heat production, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for obesity and metabolic disorders. Spot 14

TigerLily: Finding drug interactions in silico with the Graph [PDF]
Tigerlily is a TigerGraph based system designed to solve the drug interaction prediction task. In this machine learning task, we want to predict whether two drugs have an adverse interaction. Our framework allows us to solve this highly relevant real-world problem using graph mining techniques in these steps: (a) Using PyTigergraph we create a ...

Exploring Protein-Protein Interactions as Drug Targets for Anti-cancer Therapy with In Silico Workflows [PDF]
We describe a computational protocol to aid the design of small molecule and peptide drugs that target protein-protein interactions, particularly for anti-cancer therapy. To achieve this goal, we explore multiple strategies, including finding binding hot

We present the cellular transcription‐coupled Flp‐nick system allowing the introduction of a Top1‐mimicking cleavage complex (Flpcc) at a Flp recognition target site within a controllable LacZ gene. LacZ transcription leads to the collision of RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) with Flpcc, and this causes RNAPII stalling, ubiquitination, and degradation.

Interaction extracellular vesicles (iEVs) are hybrid vesicles formed through host‐pathogen communication. They facilitate immune evasion, transfer pathogens' molecules, increase host cell uptake, and enhance virulence. This Perspective article illustrates the multifunctional roles of iEVs and highlights their emerging relevance in infection dynamics ...

Research and development of MolAICal for drug design via deep learning and classical programming [PDF]
Deep learning methods have permeated into the research area of computer-aided drug design. The deep learning generative model and classical algorithm can be simultaneously used for three-dimensional (3D) drug design in the 3D pocket of the receptor. Here, three aspects of MolAICal are illustrated for drug design: in the first part, the MolAICal uses ...
