Glomerular plasmalemma vesicle‐associated protein‐1 as an endothelial remodelling marker complementing C4d in chronic active antibody‐mediated rejection

open access: yesHistopathology, Volume 89, Issue 2, Page 372-382, August 2026.
Glomerular plasmalemma vesicle‐associated protein‐1 (PV‐1/PLVAP) identifies dynamic endothelial remodelling in chronic active antibody‐mediated rejection (caABMR), complementing glomerular C4d, which reflects a static footprint of complement activation. Combined assessment of PV‐1 and C4d captures complementary dimensions of microvascular pathology and

OX40/OX40L modulation: A target for regulating T cells in cutaneous inflammatory disorders

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, Volume 40, Issue 8, Page 1318-1331, August 2026.
OX40 and OX40L are a co‐stimulatory immune checkpoint pair. Modulation of this pair impacts multiple immune phenotypes and is an attractive target for immunotherapy in dermatological disorders. Trials are underway with the majority in atopic dermatitis and currently in phase 3 trials.

The Rescue Effect of 15-Deoxyspergualin on Intraperitoneal Microencapsulated Xenoislets

open access: yesCell Transplantation, 1999
Because the development of surface neogrowth composed mainly of macrophages and fibroblasts precedes the recurrence of hyperglycemia in treated diabetic animals, the pericapsular macrophages may adversely affect the graft function of IP alginate-poly-L ...

Determination of the Sample Size of Linear Features Used in Cartographic Quality Control Through Monte Carlo Simulation

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 30, Issue 5, August 2026.
ABSTRACT In sampling‐based process, sample size is always a debated topic. To assess positional accuracy using points, there are several studies and standards that determine what sample size should be used. However, for positional control using lines, there is no knowledge of a study that indicates the sample size.

Assessment of genetically modified RF3 Canola Quality (CQ) Brassica juncea (application EFSA‐GMO‐NL‐2019‐158)

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Genetically modified RF3 Canola Quality (CQ) Brassica juncea was developed to confer tolerance to glufosinate‐based herbicides and to restore fertility in Barnase‐expressing plants. The RF3 event was originally developed in Brassica napus and has previously been assessed by EFSA in application EFSA‐GMO‐RX‐MS8‐RF3.

1‐Aryl‐6,7‐Dimethoxy‐3,4‐Dihydroisoquinoline‐2(1H)‐Sulfonamides as hCA XII Selective Inhibitors: Experimental and Theoretical Studies to Interrogate the Isoform Selectivity

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 14, 29 July 2026.
Experimental and theoretical studies have disclosed the more relevant structural requirements for effective inhibition and an impressing selectivity toward tumor‐expressed hCA XII isoform over hCA II. Human carbonic anhydrase XII (hCA XII) represents an important pharmacological target for different types of cancer.
