The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

A first order system least squares method for the Helmholtz equation [PDF]
We present a first order system least squares (FOSLS) method for the Helmholtz equation at high wave number k, which always deduces Hermitian positive definite algebraic system.

Probabilistic fracture mechanics by boundary element method
In this work, a new boundary element method is presented for the Probabilistic Fracture Mechanics analysis. The method developed allows the probabilistic analysis of cracked structure accomplished by the dual boundary element method (DBEM), in which ...

Transient pressure behavior of horizontal well in gas reservoirs with arbitrary boundary
Transient pressure analysis is a crucial tool to forecast the production performance during the exploration and production process in gas reservoirs. Usually, a regular shaped outer boundary is assumed in previous studies for well-testing analysis, which

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Multiple crack propagation in friction stir welded aluminium joints [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the simulation of crack propagation in friction stir welded butt joints, in order to assess the influence of process induced microstructural alterations and residual stresses on the fatigue behaviour of the assembly.

Residual strength evaluation by DBEM for a cracked lap joint [PDF]
The present work summarizes a numerical procedure aimed at the evaluation of the residual strength of a cracked lap joint, based on the competing failure mechanisms regulated by the R-curve analysis and plastic collapse.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Fundamental solutions and dual boundary element methods for fracture in plane Cosserat elasticity [PDF]
In this paper, both singular and hypersingular fundamental solutions of plane Cosserat elasticity are derived and given in a ready-to-use form. The hypersingular fundamental solutions allow to formulate the analogue of Somigliana stress identity, which can be used to obtain the stress and couple-stress fields inside the domain from the boundary values ...
