Buckling and Post-Buckling Analysis of Cracked Plates by The Boundary Element Method

open access: yes, 2003
PhDThis thesis presents boundary element formulations for buckling and nonlinear buckling analysis of plates. Dual boundary element formulations are also presented for linear and nonlinear buckling, and large deformation analysis of crack behaviour in

A dual-reciprocity boundary element method for axisymmetric thermoelastostatic analysis of nonhomogeneous materials

open access: yes, 2012
The problem of determining the axisymmetric time-independent temperature and thermoelastic displacement and stress fields in a nonhomogeneous material is solved numerically by using a dual-reciprocity boundary element technique.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Computational modelling of acoustic scattering of a sound source in the vicinity of the ground [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The paper presents a computational model for acoustic scattering of a near-the- ground sound source around a body moving in a uniform flow. Using the method of images and the concept of reflection coefficient, the half space Green's function in a ...

Dual finite element analysis for an inequality of the 2nd order [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
summary:The dual variational formulation of some free boundary value problem is given and its approximation by finite element method is studied, using piecewise linear elements with non-positive ...

Effect of Torso Non-Homogeneities in the quasi-static inverse problems arising in electrocardiology

open access: yesMoroccan Journal of Pure and Applied Analysis, 2019
In the present paper, an homogeneous and non-homogeneous inverse problem constrained by the stationary problem in electrocardiology representing the heart, lungs surfaces, and torso model is investigated.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

An Analysis of Water Infiltration in Furrow Irrigation Channels with Plants in Various Types of Soil in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Using Dual Reciprocity Boundary Element Method

open access: yesJTAM (Jurnal Teori dan Aplikasi Matematika)
The analysis of water infiltration channels requires significant time and cost when conducted through laboratory experiments. Alternatively, mathematical modeling followed by numerical method can be employed.

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...
