Resource Constrained Project Scheduling With Dynamic Disruption Recovery

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Resource-constrained project scheduling is one of the most widely studied research problems. Although a large number of algorithms have been developed for solving these problems, many of them ignored several practical issues such as resource ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Robust Spectral Recovery for Dynamical Sampling

open access: yesCoRR
We study the spectral recovery problem for dynamical sampling on a finite cyclic grid. Given time snapshots obtained from a fixed uniform spatial subsampling of the orbit $x_{\ell}=A^{\ell}f$, we aim to recover the spectrum of the unknown circular convolution operator $A$.

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 regulates cell adhesion and membrane protrusive activity of ovarian cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Hot deformation and microstructure evolution of TiZrAlHf Ti-based medium entropy alloy

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng
In order to optimize the hot working window of the novel TiZrAlHf Ti-based medium entropy alloy, the thermal deformation characteristics and microstructural evolution during thermal deformation were investigated by using hot compression simulation ...

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Boosting the mechanical properties at 815°C of laser-directed energy-deposited Inconel 625 alloy by introducing the Laves phase

open access: yesVirtual and Physical Prototyping
This study aims to enhance the high-temperature mechanical properties of the laser-directed energy-deposited Inconel 625 alloy. Varied sizes, morphologies and volume fractions of the Laves phase were effectively regulated, high-temperature tensile ...
