Biologics to Treat Atopic Dermatitis: Effectiveness, Safety, and Future Directions

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 2, Page 326-344, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common chronic inflammatory skin diseases worldwide. The clinical presentation of AD is heterogeneous and is characterized by a relapsing and remitting course. Most patients suffer from mild AD while approximately 5% to 20% experience severe disease activity, which often requires systemic treatment ...

Adhesion molecules in the maternal–fetal interface in healthy pregnancies and preeclampsia

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 2, Page 298-308, February 2026.
This study revealed elevated levels of adhesion molecules in the maternal circulation and reduced levels in the fetal circulation in preeclampsia. The findings suggest systemic maternal endothelial dysfunction in preeclampsia. Lower fetal adhesion molecule levels warrant further study. Abstract Introduction Adhesion molecules are markers of endothelial

Trichostatin A Sensitizes Tumor Cells to Apoptosis Induced by Soluble Trimeric TRAIL‐Expressing Human Mesenchymal Stromal Cells

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 2, Page 456-467, February 2026.
Human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) were engineered to secrete an isoleucine‐zippered soluble trimeric TRAIL (SCZT) and evaluated with trichostatin A (TSA) to overcome TRAIL resistance. TSA upregulated DR5 and amplified caspase‐8–dependent apoptosis in vitro; in vivo, tumor‐homing MSCs combined with TSA suppressed the growth of both TRAIL‐sensitive ...

Pharmacophore‐Based Identification and Molecular Characterization of Potent Neprilysin Inhibitors: Biochemical and Therapeutic Implications for Cardiovascular Diseases

open access: yesChemical Biology &Drug Design, Volume 107, Issue 2, February 2026.
Pharmacophore‐based virtual screening and molecular dynamics identified pentagalloylglucose and tannic acid as potent, non‐toxic neprilysin inhibitors. These natural compounds demonstrated strong binding affinity and stable interactions with the catalytic Zn2+ site, offering promising leads for cardiovascular drug development. ABSTRACT Neprilysin (NEP),
