A comparative study between one and two effective doses (ED95) of rocuronium for tracheal intubation.

open access: yesRevista brasileira de anestesiologia, 2009
Neuromuscular blockers (NMB) are used to induce relaxation of skeletal muscles and facilitate tracheal intubation (TI). According to the literature, two effective doses (ED95) of NMB are ideal for TI. Rocuronium is a steroid-type, synthetic, non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocker of medium duration.

Effect of a Spray Containing Occlusive Agents, Humectants and Physiological Lipids on Skin Hydration of Healthy Dogs When Applied After Bathing With a Chlorhexidine 2%/Miconazole 2% Shampoo

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 1, Page 140-147, February 2026.
Background: Normal hydration of the canine epidermis is imperative for cutaneous homeostasis. Xerosis may be encountered in canine atopic dermatitis and may be aggravated by topical antiseptics. Hypothesis and Objectives: To evaluate the hydrating properties and the safety of a spray (Sensiderm spray; MP Labo) when applied after shampooing healthy dogs

A comparative study of different induction techniques (Propofol-Placebo, Propofol-Ephedrine and Propofol- Placebo-Crystalloid) on intubating conditions after rocuronium administration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This was a prospective randomized double blind controlled study to compare intubating conditions at 60 seconds with rocuronium 0.6 mg/kg by using three different induction techniques: propofol-placebo (PP), propofol-ephedrine (PE) and propofol ...

Management of Propofol Infusion Pain: An Easy Task for Anesthetists

open access: yesAnesthesiology Research and Practice, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The aim of the present study is to lay out what the literature emphasizes regarding this topic, specifically the use of several drugs and their various doses, while explaining the mechanism of each agent, as well as discussing the comparison between lidocaine and these drugs, so that subsequent trials and investigators could rely on it when planning ...

Agonist-induced internalization and desensitization of the apelin receptor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Apelin acts via the G protein-coupled apelin receptor (APJ) to mediate effects on cardiovascular and fluid homeostasis. G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) trafficking has an important role in the regulation of receptor signalling pathways and cellular ...

Comparison of Neuromuscular Blockade, Intubation Condition and Reversal between Cisatracurium and Rocuronium with 3×Ed95 Doses

open access: yes, 2022
Background:  Optimum relaxation done via non depolarising muscle relaxants (NDMR) is expected to be associated with hemodynamic stabilisation, shorter action and proper reversibility. Cisatracurium and rocuronium are newer NDMR belonging to aminosteroid and benzylisoquinolinium groups respectively with different elimination pathway. Limited studies are

Effects of integrated programs for substance‐involved mothers on infant and child development outcomes: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesInfant Mental Health Journal: Infancy and Early Childhood, Volume 46, Issue 6, Page 653-674, November 2025.
Abstract Maternal substance use is a pressing public health issue that confers risk for maternal health, the parent‐infant relationship, and child development. Integrated interventions that jointly address maternal substance use and child development have shown promise for enhancing child outcomes.

A Monte Carlo simulation study comparing the up and down, biased-coin up and down and continual reassessment methods used to estimate an effective dose (ED95 or ED90) in anaesthesiology research

open access: yesBJA Open, 2023
Background: Dose-finding studies in anaesthesiology aim to target the effective dose (ED) of an anaesthetic agent in a specific population. The common dose-finding designs used are the up and down method (UDM), the biased-coin up and down (BCD), and the ...
