The Third Pillar of Precision Medicine — Precision Delivery

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2025.
For Precision Medicine to reach its full potential, a third pillar called Precision Delivery is starting to evolve to complement the existing two pillars of Precision Diagnosis and Precision Therapy. Precision Delivery will help ensure the right therapy for the right disease will be able to reach the right location at the right time .

Exploration of two methods for quantitative Mitomycin C measurement in tumor tissue in vitro and in vivo [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Two methods of quantifying Mitomycin C in tumor tissue are explored. A method of ultraviolet-visible absorption microscopy is developed and applied to measure the concentration of Mitomycin C in preserved mouse tumor tissue, as well as in gelatin samples.

Homogenised active fluid flow in partially tumourous vascular tissues

open access: yesZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, Volume 105, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract We derive a new multiscale model describing fluid flow actively responding to the application of an external load in a vascularised, partially cancerous tissue. We start from a mesoscale where the difference between the interstitial and vessels compartment is geometrically smoothed out, but the healthy and tumourous regions can be clearly ...

Modern Approach to Manage Patients With Kaposi Sarcoma

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 97, Issue 3, March 2025.

Technological development in Therapeutic applications of alternating electric fields: Review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A number of bacteria, virus and other unhealthy cells need to be killed for getting rid of them. For more than a century antibiotics have been effectively used for killing bacterial pathogens and chemical drugs against the cancer cells.

Effects of Dimethyl Sulfoxide on Lipid Membrane Electroporation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Pores can be generated in lipid membranes by the application of an external electric field or by the addition of particular chemicals such as dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Molecular dynamics (MD) has been shown to be a useful tool for unveiling many aspects

Retrospective Analysis of Clinical Presentation, Prognostic Factors and Outcome in 32 Dogs with Subcutaneous Mast Cell Tumours Treated with a Curative‐Intent Approach

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 2, March 2025.
Subcutaneous mast cell tumours (ScMCTs) have been traditionally associated with a good prognosis, with low rates of recurrence and metastasis. This study aims to describe the clinical presentation, outcome, and prognostic factors in dogs diagnosed with ScMCTs and treated with a curative‐intent approach. Our results suggest that despite the overall good
