An integrated computational screening strategy identified ursolic acid (UA) and 18β‐glycyrrhetinic acid (18βGA) as a self‐assembling food‐derived molecular pair. The resulting carrier‐free nanoparticles (UA‐18βGA) showed synergistic antiparasitic activity, reduced combined toxicity, and host‐protective anti‐inflammatory effects in zebrafish and murine ...

Undernutrition and Early Embryonic Mortality in Merino Ewes [PDF]
UNTIL recently there was little evidence that the plane of nutrition in early pregnancy could affect ovine foetal growth or survival1–3. In the past year or so, however, it has been shown that maternal undernutrition during the first 90 days of gestation may influence foetal weight at 90 days4 and possibly embryo survival5.

Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.

Secreted Nonstructural Protein 3 is a Pathogenic Determinant of Orbivirus
This study uncovers a conserved PIP2‐dependent secretory pathway of orbivirus NS3 that induces vascular leakage. Pharmacological disruption of PIP2‐NS3 interaction significantly reduces viral pathogenicity and provides protective efficacy in murine models, establishing PIP2‐mediated NS3 secretion as both a key virulence determinant and a promising ...

By leveraging this homodimerization mechanism, molecular glues were rationally designed to induce dysfunctional 3A dimerization, thereby restoring antiviral RNAi. The optimal molecular glue, VTP‐32, demonstrated potent and pan‐enterovirus (groups A, B, D) antiviral effects.

THE INCIDENCE OF EMBRYONIC MORTALITY AS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE INDIVIDUAL SOW [PDF]
Summary. Embryonic mortality was estimated by comparing the number of piglets born with the number of corpora lutea counted at laparotomy early in pregnancy. It was found that embryonic loss was non-randomly distributed in the first pregnancy in thirty-six animals, and that it was apparently related to the parentage, particularly to ...

After spinal cord injury, adult microglia remain persistently activated with chronic PRMT6 (protein arginine methyltransferase 6) upregulation. Prmt6 deficiency or inhibition reestablishes microglial homeostasis and promotes a scar‐limited repairment, enhancing axonal regrowth.
