Three-Dimensional Trilineage Differentiation Conditions for Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells
Human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) hold great potential for regenerative medicine. However, optimizing their differentiation into specific lineages within three-dimensional (3D) scaffold-based culture systems that mimic in vivo environments ...

Pectoral fins of bichirs encompass the so‐called dental plates – unique dermal skeletal elements with individual odontodes identical to the oral teeth. Abstract The dermal skeleton appeared early in vertebrate evolution in the form of mineralized skin denticles composed of tooth‐like units—odontodes.

A molecular pathway leading to endoderm formation in zebrafish
Background: Several potentially important regulators of vertebrate endoderm development have been identified, including Activin-related growth factors and their receptors; transcriptional regulators encoded by the genes Mixer, Xsox17, and HNF3β ...

Background: Craniofacial malformations lie at the heart of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs). While there is growing evidence for a genetic component in FASDs, little is known of the cellular mechanisms underlying these ethanol-sensitive loci in ...

Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Endoderm Complexity in the Mouse Gastrula Is Revealed Through the Expression of Spink3
Endoderm formation in the mammalian embryo occurs first in the blastocyst, when the primitive endoderm and pluripotent cells resolve into separate lineages, and again during gastrulation, when the definitive endoderm progenitor population emerges from ...

We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Regulation of lung endoderm progenitor cell behavior by miR302/367
The temporal and spatial control of organ-specific endoderm progenitor development is poorly understood. miRNAs affect cell function by regulating programmatic changes in protein expression levels.

ELABELA Targets Mitochondria to Modulate Heart Development
The role of peptide ELABELA (ELA) in cardiomyocyte apoptosis and congenital heart disease (CHD) is unclear. ELA deficiency caused cardiomyocyte apoptosis and CHD. A novel ELA‐APJ‐AKT‐BCL2/BAX axis in regulating mitochondrial function and contributing to CHD pathogenesis was established.
