Affinity Proteomics‐Based Non‐Invasive Detection of Clinically Significant Liver Disease

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 74-88, July 2026.
Using UK Biobank proteomic data, we identified a five‐protein score reflecting hepatic stellate cell activation and hepatocellular injury that predicts major adverse liver outcomes and clinically significant fibrosis, with consistent performance validated in two independent cohorts (patients with HIV and alpha1‐antitrypsin deficiency).

Endoglin Deficiency Impairs Stroke Recovery [PDF]

open access: yesStroke, 2014
Background and Purpose— Endoglin deficiency causes hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia-1 and impairs myocardial repair. Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations in patients with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia-1 are associated with a high incidence of paradoxical embolism in the cerebral circulation and ischemic brain ...

Polymer Matrix‐Based 3D Culture Significantly Enhances the Differentiation and Immunomodulatory Functions of Human Adipose‐Derived Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 34, 19 June 2026.
The 3D culture of human adipose‐derived stem cells (hADSCs) on a crosslinked cyclosiloxane‐based poly‐Z matrix platform enables the formation of spheroid structures enriched with extracellular matrix (ECM). These ECM‐enriched hADSC spheroids cultured on poly‐Z exhibit enhanced differentiation potential, immunomodulatory capacity, and in vivo ...

Endoglin Targeting in Colorectal Tumor Microenvironment [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Cancer Research, 2018
Abstract On endothelial cells, the TGFβ/BMP-9 coreceptor, endoglin, emerged as a promising antiangiogenic target in colorectal cancer. Its promiscuous expression by cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF) emerges to facilitate metastasis. The multitarget impact of neutralizing endoglin may offer added benefit in controlling colorectal cancer.

Evaluation of endocan and endoglin levels in chronic kidney disease due to diabetes mellitus

open access: yesArchives of Medical Science, 2018
Introduction Endocan and endoglin have been shown to play a role in angiogenesis. Aberrant excessive angiogenesis is a main factor in the development of diabetic nephropathy.

Soluble endoglin as a perspective marker of endothelial dysfunction in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism: a pilot study

open access: yesОжирение и метаболизм, 2023
BACKGROUND: Primary hyperparathyroidism  (PHPT), one of the most common endocrine pathologies, is associated with a higher incidence of cardiovascular diseases, in particular, those caused by endothelial dysfunction. Evaluation of endothelial dysfunction

Effect of C5a Receptor Antagonist on the Osteogenic Differentiation of Dental Pulp Stem Cells

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Complement component 5a (C5a) binding to its receptor (C5aR) can mediate pro‐inflammatory immune responses, which impairs osteogenic differentiation of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs). The present study aimed to evaluate the regulatory effect of C5aR antagonist (W54011) on the osteogenic differentiation of DPSCs in an in vitro ...

Polygonati Rhizoma Attenuates Oxidative Stress‐Induced Senescence in Periodontal Ligament Stem Cells

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
Network pharmacology identified the potential targets and pathways of Polygonati Rhizoma (PR) against aging‐related periodontitis through PPI, GO/KEGG enrichment, and molecular docking. Experimental validation in a D‐galactose‐induced senescence model of periodontal ligament stem cells showed that PR‐medicated serum attenuated cellular senescence and ...
