Endometrial Epithelial Lactate Deficiency Drives CD8+ T‐Cells Dysregulation in Unexplained Recurrent Implantation Failure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 26, 8 May 2026.
Unexplained recurrent implantation failure (RIF) represents a significant clinical challenge. Our results demonstrate that reduced lactate production in the RIF endometrium impairs the suppression of cytotoxic CD8+ T‑cells, allowing their proliferation and thereby disrupting the local immune balance essential for successful embryo implantation.

Loss of CDYL Results in Suppression of CTNNB1 and Decreased Endometrial Receptivity

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, 2020
Impaired endometrial receptivity is one of the major causes of recurrent implantation failure (RIF), although the underlying molecular mechanism has not been fully elucidated.

Female infertility: which role for obesity? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Obesity is associated with infertility in women through multiple and complex mechanisms. Briefly, the adipose tissue through the production of many factors, such as leptin, free fatty acids (FFA), and cytokines may affect both ovarian and endometrium ...

CNC–PNIPAM Drug Delivery System Improves Endometrial Receptivity via Natural Killer Cell Immune Tolerance in Endometriosis

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2026.
An injectable CNC–PNIPAM hydrogel is developed for intrauterine co‐delivery of levonorgestrel and botropase. This platform reprograms uterine natural killer cells toward an immune–tolerant phenotype and enhances endometrial receptivity marker expression. The results demonstrate a promising strategy to counteract endometriosis–associated infertility and

Human endometrial CD98 is essential for blastocyst adhesion.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
BackgroundUnderstanding the molecular basis of embryonic implantation is of great clinical and biological relevance. Little is currently known about the adhesion receptors that determine endometrial receptivity for embryonic implantation in humans ...

Successful implantation after reducing matrix metalloproteinase activity in the uterine cavity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
BACKGROUND: Recently, the concept of recurrent implantation failure (RIF) in assisted reproductive technology has been enlarged. Chronic uterine inflammation is a known cause of implantation failure and is associated with high matrix metalloproteinase ...

Investigating the Association Between Serum 25‐Hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) and Body Mass Index (BMI) With In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Outcomes Among Iranian Women: A Case‐Control Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Infertility affects approximately 18.3% of couples in Iran, and in vitro fertilization (IVF) remains a widely used treatment. Vitamin D deficiency and elevated body mass index (BMI) have been linked to poorer reproductive outcomes in some populations, but region‐specific evidence among Iranian women is limited.

Unveiling the Bidirectional Relationship on the Effect of Gut Microbiota and Female Infertility: A Narrative Review

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Dysbiosis is the substitution of the normal gut flora with a dysfunctional array of organisms that influences the outcome of multiple inflammatory pathways, contributing to systemic inflammation and various disease states. It has historically been understudied, with outcomes that may directly or indirectly cause pathologies.

Exploring the factors influencing the endometrial implantation window in IVF/ICSI cycles: serum AMH is correlated with endometrial receptivity

open access: yesMiddle East Fertility Society Journal
Objectives To Exploring the factors influencing the endometrial implantation window in IVF/ICSI cycles. Methods This study included a total of 191 women who undergone IVF/ICSI for infertility at our hospital from 2021 to 2024 and had undergone ...
