Testican‐1‐MMP axis in tumour extracellular matrix (ECM) remodelling: interaction dynamics analysis and an in silico perspective

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, EarlyView.
Abstract The extracellular matrix (ECM) plays a pivotal role in facilitating tumour development, invasiveness, metastasis, and immunoevasive processes through dynamic ECM remodelling processes. Testican‐1 (SPOCK1), an excretory matricellular proteoglycan, is suggested to exert a role in the facilitation of ECM remodelling processes through interacting ...

First genome sequence of a European Alternaria brassicae isolate and genes involved in early development of alternaria leaf spot on Brassica juncea

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
This article reports the first genome sequence of a UK Alternaria brassicae isolate. Dual RNA‐sequencing profiling of A. brassicae‐infected Brassica juncea leaves identified differentially expressed genes involved in pathogenicity and host response pathways in moderately resistant Sej‐2 (2) and moderately susceptible Pusa Jaikisan cultivars.

Comparative Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Expression of Defense Pathways and Specific Protease Inhibitor Genes in Solanum lycopersicum in Response to Feeding by Tuta absoluta

open access: yesInsects
Understanding plant-insect interactions can help control the harm of herbivorous pests. According to transcriptome data, transcripts of Solanum lycopersicum responding to feeding by Tuta absoluta were screened for important endopeptidase inhibitors ...

Optimization of Bacillus intermedius glutamyl endopeptidase production by recombinant strain of Bacillus subtilis and localization of glutamyl endopeptidase in Bacillus subtilis cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The biosynthesis of glutamyl endopeptidase from Bacillus intermedius 3-19 in recombinant strain of Bacillus subtilis has been investigated. The composition of culture medium, which yielded the maximum glutamyl endopeptidase production by B.

Peptide‐based responsive molecular fluorescent probes for precision oncology

open access: yesResponsive Materials, EarlyView.
Peptide‐based responsive fluorescent probes have emerged as adaptive functional materials for precision tumor theranostics, combining tumor‐selective recognition, programmable stimulus responsiveness, and modular tunability. They enable high‐contrast imaging, intraoperative guidance, real‐time monitoring, and multimodal applications, while next ...

Salt stress induction of glutamyl endopeptidase biosynthesis in Bacillus intermedius

open access: yes, 2020
Bacteria from the genus Bacillus have evolved complicated regulatory networks to be protected from various environmental stresses, including sudden increase in salinity. Among these regulatory mechanisms is the DegS-DegU signal transduction system, which

Ultrasensitive Detection of Neurofilament Light in Plasma Using F(Ab’)2‐Modified Graphene Field‐Effect Biosensor

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
An antibody fragment (F(ab')2)‐modified graphene field‐effect transistor biosensor is developed for the ultrasensitive detection of neurofilament light chain in clinical plasma. By reducing the Debye screening effect, the platform achieves a 114% sensitivity increase and a fivefold lower detection limit compared to whole‐antibody approaches ...
