Preferential Membrane Remodeling on Curved Biointerfaces Induced by Conjugated Oligoelectrolyte
This study explores how membrane shape influences the interaction of conjugated oligoelectrolytes (COEs) with lipid bilayers. Using a curved biointerface composed of nanobar arrays and supported lipid bilayers, it is revealed that COE intercalation preferentially remodels curved regions, forming distinct structures. These findings highlight the role of

MAM-mediated mitophagy and endoplasmic reticulum stress: the hidden regulators of ischemic stroke
Ischemic stroke (IS) is the predominant subtype of stroke and a leading contributor to global mortality. The mitochondrial-associated endoplasmic reticulum membrane (MAM) is a specialized region that facilitates communication between the endoplasmic ...

Observation of Multiphoton-induced Fluorescence from Nano Graphene Oxide and Its Applications in In vitro and In vivo Bioimaging [PDF]
In the present paper, we observed both two-photon and three-photon induced distinct photoluminescence from GO nanoparticles under fs laser excitation. Conjugated with PEG molecules, GO nanoparticles exhibited high chemical stability, and could effectively label HeLa cells.

Inhalable Hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p Liposomes Attenuate Pulmonary Fibrosis
The study explores inhalable hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p‐loaded liposomes as a treatment for bleomycin‐induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice. Hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p is electroporated into liposomes and formulated into a dry powder for inhalation. Delivered via dry powder inhalation, it improves pulmonary function, promotes myofibroblast de‐differentiation by targeting CNPY2 ...

Functional Polarization of Liver Macrophages by Glyco Gold Nanoparticles
Macrophages play a critical role in several pathophysiological diseases by being involved in the activation of adaptive and innate immune responses. The repolarization of macrophages using gold nanoparticles functionalized with glycans for a more selective targeting toward a restorative phenotype leads to an amelioration of the events.

Penfluridol induces endoplasmic reticulum stress leading to autophagy in pancreatic cancer
Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive and difficult to treat cancers. Experimental and clinical evidence suggests that high basal state autophagy in pancreatic tumors could induce resistance to chemotherapy.

Contacts between the endoplasmic reticulum and other membranes in neurons
Significance The cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells is compartmentalized by intracellular membranes that define subcellular organelles. One of these organelles, the endoplasmic reticulum, forms a continuous network of tubules and cisternae that extends ...

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), while holistic and historically esteemed, faces challenges in “miracle cures” due to slow onset, long cycles, and difficulty controlling quality. This study obtains the active ingredients, glabridin (GLA) and puerarin (PUE), from Ge‐Gen Decoction (GGD), developing a safe and effective drug delivery system, GLA‐PUE ...
