3D Computational Modeling of Defective Early Endosome Distribution in Human iPSC-Based Cardiomyopathy Models

open access: yesCells
Intracellular cargo delivery via distinct transport routes relies on vesicle carriers. A key trafficking route distributes cargo taken up by clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME) via early endosomes.

Removal of hypersignaling endosomes by simaphagy

open access: yes
Activated transmembrane receptors continue to signal following endocytosis and are only silenced upon ESCRT-mediated internalization of the receptors into intralumenal vesicles (ILVs) of the endosomes.

Microautophagy of Cytosolic Proteins by Late Endosomes

open access: yes, 2011
SummaryAutophagy delivers cytosolic components to lysosomes for their degradation. The delivery of autophagic cargo to late endosomes for complete or partial degradation has also been described. In this report we present evidence that distinct autophagic

Co-translational targeting of transcripts to endosomes

open access: yes, 2020
Asymmetric localization and translation of mRNAs is used by single cells to sense their environment and integrate extrinsic cues with the appropriate cellular response.

Oligopeptides/DNA Coacervate Droplets as Macromolecular Delivery Microcarriers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Oligopeptide–DNA coacervates formed via liquid–liquid phase separation serve as programmable carriers for macromolecular cargos, entering cells through lipid raft–associated pathways and subsequently undergoing enzyme triggered intracellular disassembly driven by DNA degradation processes, thereby enabling efficient, controlled, and spatially defined ...

Signaling endosomes: seeing is believing.

open access: yes, 2010
Signaling compartmentalization provides a highly refined mechanism to specify context-dependent cellular responses. Endosomes are an intracellular membrane-bound compartment that mediates the transport of receptor-bound signaling complexes.

Senescent Cell Derived Artificial Vesicle‐Based Senolytic Sonovaccine Platform with Augmented Lymph Node Delivery and Antigen Cross‐Presentation Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A senolytic sonovaccine platform (SenoVac) is developed, in which senescent cell‐derived vesicles serve as broad senescent cell antigen reservior. The “2‐step” click chemistry strategy for effective lymph node delivery, and ultrasound‐triggered endosomal escape to boost cross‐presentation, ensures efficient senescent cell clearance and disease ...

MiR‐940 Suppresses Ferroptosis by Controlling Expression of Key Regulatory Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A CRISPR‐based screening identified miR‐940 as a critical suppressor of ferroptosis in cancer. By coordinating the downregulation of pro‐ferroptotic genes with the upregulation of GPX4, miR‐940 establishes a regulatory network that protects against ferroptosis and correlates with poor clinical outcomes in distinct cancer entities.
