Progenitors in motion: mechanisms of mobilization of endothelial progenitor cells [PDF]
Endothelial progenitor cells are a population of bone marrow‐derived mononuclear cells thought to engage in endothelial repair and hence are considered potential therapeutic agents in many pathological conditions. The mechanism of their exit from the bone marrow to the circulation and damaged tissues, termed mobilization, has not been fully elucidated.

Background - Therapeutic neovascularization may constitute an important strategy to salvage tissue from critical ischemia. Circulating bone marrow–derived endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) were shown to augment the neovascularization of ischemic tissue.

Milieu-adopted in vitro and in vivo differentiation of mesenchymal tissues derived from different adult human CD34-negative progenitor cell clones [PDF]
Adult mesenchymal stem cells with multilineage differentiation potentially exist in the bone marrow, but have also been isolated from the peripheral blood.

The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Efficient commitment to functional CD34+ progenitor cells from human bone marrow mesenchymal stem-cell-derived induced pluripotent stem cells. [PDF]
The efficient commitment of a specialized cell type from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) without contamination from unknown substances is crucial to their use in clinical applications.

Circulating endothelial progenitor cells and endothelial cells in moyamoya disease [PDF]
AbstractIntroductionThere is no well‐recognized biomarker for accurately predicting outcome in the presence of moyamoya disease (MMD), a progressive occlusive cerebrovascular disease of the internal carotid arteries or their branches. The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) and circulating ...

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.
