Energy release rate and quasi-static evolution

open access: yes, 2017
In the setting of planar linearized elasticity, we study a fracture model depending on the crack opening. Assuming that the crack path is known a priori and sufficiently smooth, we prove that the energy release rate is well defined. Then, we consider the

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Energy release rate analysis of interfacial cracks in composites

open access: yes, 1989
Analytical methods have been developed to study the basic nature of the coupled opening, in-plane shearing, and antiplane shearing fracture behavior of an interfacial crack between two anisotropic media.

A bending specimen for constant energy release rate under controlled displacement conditions

open access: yes, 2005
A bending specimen to give a constant energy release rate under given displacement conditions is developed. The specimen is shown by experiments to give a, in essence, constant energy release rate.

The Calculation of Properties of Fracture and Experimental Certification for 00Cr17Ni14Mo2

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2006
:The strain stress curve and the J -integral were carried out using MTS machine for 00Cr17Ni14Mo2. Energy release rates G and the J -integral were evaluated based on the virtual crack closure technique and the method for Rice's J -integral.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Energy Release Rate Measurement of Welded Bamboo Joints

open access: yes, 2017
International audienceDouble cantilever beam tests were used to measure the energy release rates of linear vibrational welded moso bamboo joints. The influence of the length of the preserved cracks, the different combinations of the inner and outer ...

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.
