This study evaluated immune‐related biomarkers in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors after postoperative recurrence. PD‐L1 expression in tumor‐associated macrophages and tumor cells, together with HLA class I downregulation and HLA‐DR expression, were associated with favorable responses to immunotherapy.

Mechanisms of eosinophil cytokine release
Human eosinophils have been demonstrated to contain a multitude of cytokines and chemokines that exist pre-formed within these cells. This content of pre-formed cytokines, with diverse potential biologic activities, provides eosinophils with capabilities

[Evaluation of tissue eosinophils in eosinophilic pneumonia].
Transbronchial biopsy specimens from ten patients with eosinophilic pneumonia were analysed to see whether the tissue contained activated eosinophils or secreted eosinophil cationic protein. The specimens showed many infiltrated tissue eosinophils in the intraalveolar spaces, and thickened alveolar septae and perivascular areas.

The Role of the Gut Microbiota in Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation
ABSTRACT Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo‐HCT) is an effective treatment for patients with high‐risk hematologic malignancies. Over the last decade, gut microbiota composition during allo‐HCT has been associated with patients' outcomes.

ABSTRACT Exagamglogene autotemcel (exa‐cel) is a one‐time, ex vivo, CRISPR‐Cas9 gene edited cell therapy approved for patients with transfusion dependent β‐thalassemia (TDT) aged 12–35 years. In a Phase 3 study (CLIMB THAL‐111), exa‐cel treatment resulted in reactivation of fetal hemoglobin and increases in total hemoglobin, leading to transfusion ...

CCL11/CCR3-dependent eosinophilia alleviates malignant pleural effusions and improves prognosis
Malignant pleural effusion (MPE) is a common occurrence in advanced cancer and is often linked with a poor prognosis. Eosinophils were reported to involve in the development of MPE. However, the role of eosinophils in MPE remains unclear.
