Psychedelics, entactogens and psychoplastogens for depression and related disorders
Currently, the most actively investigated rapidly acting antidepressants, anxiolytics and/or anti PTSD agents, include psychedelics e.g. psilocybin, LSD, N,N‐dimethyltryptamine, ayahuasca; non‐hallucinogenic entactogens, e.g. MDMA; psychoplastogens which rapidly promote neuroplasticity, e.g.

Abstract Aims Obesity is associated with increased insulin‐stimulated brain glucose uptake (BGU) which is opposite to decreased GU observed in peripheral tissues. Increased BGU was shown to be reversed by weight loss and exercise training, but the mechanisms remain unknown.

Conformational Analysis of the D Ring of Lysergic Acid Amides and its Bioactive Conformation [PDF]
1H, 13Cnuclear magnetic resonance data on simple lysergic acid amides and ergopeptines indieate eonsiderable flexibility of the D ring. The actual conformation depends upon the existence (or absence) of intramolecular hydrogen bonding between N6 and the ...

Abstract Circulating cell‐free DNA (cfDNA), circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) and inflammatory cytokines have prognostic and predictive value in oncology. However, the effects of acute exercise on cfDNA levels are unknown. Here, we explore the kinetics of cfDNA, ctDNA and cytokines upon an incremental exercise test in a pilot cohort of cancer patients ...

Abstract During exercise, females have a higher work of breathing (ẆB) than males for a given minute ventilation (V̇E$ \dot {V}_{\text {E}}$) ≥ 50–60 L min−1, presumably due to sex differences in airway size. However, on average, males have greater forced vital capacity (FVC) than females, and the confounding effect of FVC on sex differences in ẆB is ...

N-Benzyl-5-methoxytryptamines as Potent Serotonin 5-HT2 Receptor Family Agonists and Comparison with a Series of Phenethylarnine Analogues [PDF]
A series of N-benzylated-5-methoxytryptamine analogues was prepared and investigated, with special emphasis on substituents in the meta position of the benzyl group.

Receptor interaction profiles of novel psychoactive tryptamines compared with classic hallucinogens [PDF]
The present study investigated interactions between the novel psychoactive tryptamines DiPT, 4-OH-DiPT, 4-OH-MET, 5-MeO-AMT, and 5-MeO-MiPT at monoamine receptors and transporters compared with the classic hallucinogens lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD ...

Abstract Glycogen storage disease III (GSD‐III) is caused by an inherited deficiency of the glycogen debranching enzyme. Affecting the liver, muscle and heart, GSD‐IIIa is the most common GSD‐III subtype. We evaluated the feasibility and safety of a physical exercise intervention in patients with GSD‐IIIa and its effects at the multisystem level.
