ADAMTS13 ameliorates inflammatory responses in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis
Background ADAMTS13 (a disintegrin and metalloprotease with a thrombospondin type 1 motif, member 13) plays a vital role in preventing microvascular thrombosis and inflammation.

Human Pegivirus Encephalitis With Brain Detection and Response to Sofosbuvir Ledipasvir
ABSTRACT Human pegivirus (HPgV‐1) has been associated with severe encephalomyelitis in immunocompromised patients. Its neurological spectrum remains poorly defined. We report a slowly progressive encephalitis in a person living with well‐controlled HIV, characterized by white matter abnormalities and inflammatory cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). HPgV RNA was

Computational Modelling of Treg Networks in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis [PDF]
Recent experiments have demonstrated the value of rigorously validated simulation in furthering our understanding of immunology. We seek to expand on a body of existing work at York in which we simulate the mouse disease, Experimental Autoimmune ...

Mechanical hypernociception in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Pain is an important clinical manifestation in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients, though it has been neglected in clinical and experimental researches. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the nociceptive response in MOG35-55 experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE)-induced mice.

ABSTRACT Background Factors associated with relapse course and disability in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD) remain incompletely understood. Objectives To identify clinical and modifiable factors associated with relapse and disability in MOGAD. Methods In this ambispective multicentre cohort study using data from

ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by dysregulated T cell responses. RNA helicases, including DExD‐box helicase 21 (DDX21), are pivotal in RNA metabolism, but their role in T cell‐mediated pathology during IBD remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate that DDX21 expression in CD4+ T cells correlates with cell cycle and translation ...

Tissue plasminogen activator worsens experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis by complementary actions on lymphoid and myeloid cell responses. [PDF]
BACKGROUND Tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) is a serine protease involved in fibrinolysis. It is released by endothelial cells, but also expressed by neurons and glial cells in the central nervous system (CNS).

Studies in the Modulation of Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis [PDF]
Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), an experimental model for multiple sclerosis, can be induced through inoculation with several different central nervous system (CNS) proteins or peptides. Modulation of EAE, resulting in either protection from EAE or enhancement of EAE, can also be accomplished through either vaccination or DNA ...

m6A‐Mediated Glycolysis by IL‐37 Drives T Cell Metabolic Reprogramming to Regulate Colitis
This study identifies an IL‐37/SIGIRR‐METTL14 regulatory axis that suppresses global m6A modification in CD4+ T cells. IL‐37 signaling, mediated through SIGIRR, inhibits IRAK4 and JNK phosphorylation, leading to downregulation of the methyltransferase METTL14.

Oxidative Signaling in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis [PDF]
The article by Johnson et al. on the role of antioxidant signaling pathways in a model of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) merits further discussion. This group hypothesized that alterations in oxidative signaling may be involved in the development of EAE and multiple sclerosis (MS).
