Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Here, the concept of a new and interesting Riemann–Liouville type fractional derivative operator is exploited. Treatment of a fractional derivative operator has been made associated with the extended Appell hypergeometric functions of two variables and ...

Functional Dynamics of Substrate Recognition in TEM Beta-Lactamase
The beta-lactamase enzyme provides effective resistance to beta-lactam antibiotics due to substrate recognition controlled by point mutations. Recently, extended-spectrum and inhibitor-resistant mutants have become a global health problem.

Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) lacks iodide uptake ability due to MAPK activation increasing the expression of the histone methyltransferase EZH2, which represses thyroid differentiation genes (TDGs) such as the sodium iodide symporter (NIS). Dual inhibition of MAPK (U0126) and EZH2 (EPZ6438/Tazemetostat) reverses this mechanism, thus restoring TDG ...

Hematopoietic (stem) cells—The elixir of life?
The aging of HSCs (hematopoietic stem cells) and the blood system leads to the decline of other organs. Rejuvenating aged HSCs improves the function of the blood system, slowing the aging of the heart, kidney, brain, and liver, and the occurrence of age‐related diseases.

On a new extension of extended (p,q) Beta function
The main objective of this paper is to introduce a further extension of extended (p, q)-Beta function by considering product of two Mittag-Leffler functions in the kernel. We investigate various properties of this newly defined Beta function such as integral representations, summation formulas and Mellin transform. Further, some known and new relations

Extended Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative operator and its applications [PDF]
Many authors have introduced and investigated certain extended fractional derivative operators. The main object of this paper is to give an extension of the Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative operator with the extended Beta function given by ...

The Partition Function of Multicomponent Log-Gases
We give an expression for the partition function of a one-dimensional log-gas comprised of particles of (possibly) different integer charge at inverse temperature {\beta} = 1 (restricted to the line in the presence of a neutralizing field) in terms of ...
