The Swampland Conjecture and F-term Axion Monodromy Inflation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We continue the investigation of F-term axion monodromy inflation in string theory, while seriously taking the issue of moduli stabilization into account. For a number of closed and open string models, we show that they suffer from serious control issues

Matter in F-Theory

open access: yes, 1998
It is shown that the matter content of F-theory compactifications on elliptic Calabi-Yau threefolds is encoded in the Gromov-Witten invariants.

PARALLELED CHARACTERS IN THE DRAMATIC WORKS OF HORTENSIA PAPADAT-BENGESCU [PDF]

open access: yesDiversitate si Identitate Culturala in Europa, 2015
This article proposes a psychoanalytical approach to two paralleled literary characters whom Hortensia Papadat-Bengescu places into opposition in order to introduce her readers to feminine hypostases of wish fulfilment.

G 4 flux, algebraic cycles and complex structure moduli stabilization

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We construct G 4 fluxes that stabilize all of the 426 complex structure moduli of the sextic Calabi-Yau fourfold at the Fermat point. Studying flux stabilization usually requires solving Picard-Fuchs equations, which becomes unfeasible for models with ...

M/F-theory as Mf-theory

open access: yesReviews in Mathematical Physics, 2023
In the quest for mathematical foundations of M-theory, the Hypothesis H that fluxes are quantized in Cohomotopy theory, implies, on flat but possibly singular spacetimes, that M-brane charges locally organize into equivariant homotopy groups of spheres.

Anomaly Cancelation in Field Theory and F-theory on a Circle

open access: yes, 2016
We study the manifestation of local gauge anomalies of four- and six-dimensional field theories in the lower-dimensional Kaluza-Klein theory obtained after circle compactification. We identify a convenient set of transformations acting on the whole tower

F-theory and the Witten index [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2011
We connect the fermionic fields, localized on the intersection curve $Σ$ of two D7-branes with zero background flux, to a N=2 supersymmetric quantum mechanics algebra, within the theoretical framework of F-theory.

On F-theory E 6 GUTs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2011
We approach the Minimum Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) from an E_6 GUT by using the spectral cover construction and non-abelian gauge fluxes in F-theory. We start with an E_6 singularity unfolded from an E_8 singularity and obtain E_6 GUTs by using an SU(3) spectral cover.
