Turbo Equalization Based on a Combined VMP-BP Algorithm for Nonlinear Satellite Channels

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Close to saturation operation of high power amplifier (HPA) leads to strong nonlinear and dispersive characteristic of satellite channels. At the receiver, the observation signals are distorted by not only the linear inter-symbol interference (ISI) but ...

Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

An Advanced Cooperative Positioning Algorithm Based on Improved Factor Graph and Sum-Product Theory for Multiple AUVs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this research, a novel autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) cooperative positioning algorithm is proposed to solve the implementation problem of multi-sensor-fusion applications. Different from the traditional methods [i.e., the extended Kalman filter (

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

General factors of graphs

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series B, 1988
Consider a graph \(G=(N,E)\) and, for each node \(i\in N\), let \(B_ i\) be a subset of \(\{0,1,...,d_ G(i)\}\) where \(d_ G(i)\) denotes the degree of node i in G. The general factor problem asks whether there exists a subgraph of G, say \(H=(N,F)\) where \(F\subseteq E\), such that \(d_ H(i)\in B_ i\) for every \(i\in N\). This problem is NP-complete.

Universal Factor Graphs

open access: yes, 2012
The factor graph of an instance of a symmetric constraint satisfaction problem on n Boolean variables and m constraints (CSPs such as k-SAT, k-AND, k-LIN) is a bipartite graph describing which variables appear in which constraints. The factor graph describes the instance up to the polarity of the variables, and hence there are up to 2km instances of ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.
