ABSTRACT SHOX gene haploinsufficiency is associated with Léri‐Weill dyschondrosteosis (LWD) or idiopathic short stature (ISS) and could be caused by the structural and point mutations in the coding region and by the deletions in SHOX gene regulatory sequences. The role of the duplications in regulatory sequences is ambivalent.

Enhancement of the Thermoelectricity in Half‐Heusler TaRuAs by Substitutional Doping
The electronic structure and thermoelectric response of the half‐Heusler compound TaRuAs are studied based on density functional theory, deformation potential theory, and Boltzmann transport theory. The effects of doping are elucidated adopting both the rigid band approximation and supercells that explicitly include the dopant atoms.

Vacancy‐Controlled Lattice Dynamics and Magnetism in Mn‐Doped CeO2−δ Nanocrystals
ABSTRACT Mn‐doped CeO2−δ${\rm CeO}_{2-\delta }$ nanocrystals provide a model system to quantify how defect chemistry controls emergent magnetism in a wide‐gap oxide. Single‐phase fluorite Ce1−xMnxO2−δ${\rm Ce}_{1-x}{\rm Mn}_x{\rm O}_{2-\delta }$ (0≤x≤0.09$0 \le x \le 0.09$) nanocrystals exhibit nonmonotonic changes in lattice parameter, microstrain ...

ABSTRACT Recombinant protein expression in heterologous biological systems is an expanding field in synthetic biology. Photosynthetic organisms have the potential to provide an efficient low‐cost platform for recombinant protein production because they require minimal growth nutrients and are less susceptible to zoonotic and other contaminants ...

Real‐World Edoxaban Concentrations in Older Patients Receiving Reduced‐Dose Regimens
Real‐world edoxaban concentrations in older patients receiving reduced‐dose regimens. Low trough concentrations (< 12 ng/mL) were associated with an increased risk of thromboembolism. Among patients meeting the ELDERCARE‐AF criteria, low drug levels were more frequent with the 15 mg regimen than with the 30 mg regimen.
