Natural variation in ZmNRT2.5 modulates husk leaf width and promotes seed protein content in maize

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 4, Page 1039-1052, April 2025.
Summary The husk leaf of maize (Zea mays) encases the ear as a modified leaf and plays pivotal roles in protecting the ear from pathogen infection, translocating nutrition for grains and warranting grain yield. However, the natural genetic basis for variation in husk leaf width remains largely unexplored.

Efficacy and Safety of Direct Oral Anti‐Coagulants in Painful Venous Malformations in Children

open access: yesPediatric Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC), including dabigatran, apixaban, and rivaroxaban, are increasingly used in adults for painful venous malformations (VMs) instead of subcutaneous drugs such as low molecular weight heparins or fondaparinux.
