Fast separation of two trapped ions
We design fast protocols to separate or recombine two ions in a segmented Paul trap. By inverse engineering the time evolution of the trapping potential composed of a harmonic and a quartic term, it is possible to perform these processes in a few ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Impact of fast ions on microturbulence and zonal flow dynamics in HL-2A internal transport barriers
The turbulent transport properties and dynamics of zonal flows (ZFs) in the presence of fast ions (FIs) are investigated for a typical internal transport barrier (ITB) plasma based on the gyrokinetic approach, focusing on the role of FI temperature and ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

The spectral configurations of resonant magnetic perturbations (RMPs) play a key role in the transport and confinement of fast ions. In this paper, we aim to provide a quantitative investigation on how the RMP spectrum affects fast-ion resonances in the ...

Visualization of phase-space orbit topological boundary using imaging neutral particle analyzer
A newly-developed Imaging Neutral Particle Analyzer (INPA) in the DIII-D tokamak interrogates phase space occupied by fast ions on multiple different orbit topologies, including passing, stagnation, trapped and potato orbits.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Modeling of heat flux on the main limiter in EAST
Heat flux on plasma-facing components is one of the key issues in tokamak operation. In EAST, severe damages occurred on the main limiters due to high heat loads limit high-power and long-pulse operation in recent campaigns.
