Stereoselective Biotransformation: Transfer of Learning to Advance Drug Metabolism and Biocatalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Understanding stereoselective biotransformations has implications for predicting drug disposition and response and may also inspire novel biocatalytic and biomimetic strategies to address challenges in metabolite and API synthesis. ABSTRACT Chirality is an important determinant of drug action, as enantiomers can exhibit markedly different ...

Preparation of fatty acid methyl esters for gas-liquid chromatography [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2010
A convenient method using commercial aqueous concentrated HCl (conc. HCl; 35%, w/w) as an acid catalyst was developed for preparation of fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) from sterol esters, triacylglycerols, phospholipids, and FFAs for gas-liquid chromatography (GC).

Endogenous Ceramide 24:1 Constrains Th17‐Driven Neutrophilic Inflammation by Antagonizing EP2 Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cer24:1 levels are reduced in neutrophilic asthma and inversely correlate with disease severity and airway neutrophilia. Restoring Cer24:1 suppresses pathogenic Th17 differentiation by engaging EP2 on CD4+ T cells, thereby dampening the JAK2–STAT3–RORγt axis and reducing IL‐17 production.

Real-time emission behavior of coconut oil biodiesel during thermal oxidation in air field by thermogravimetry–fourier transform infrared spectroscopy–gas chromatography–mass spectrometry

open access: yesIndustrial Crops and Products
Real-time monitoring data regarding the emission behavior of medium chain fatty acid esters was still insufficient concerning their oxidative and low-temperature combustion characteristics. Herein, thermogravimetry-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy-

Studi Polimerisasi Ester dari Asam Lemak Sawit Distilat (ALSD) Menggunakan Inisiator Benzoil Peroksida 0,1 % [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Polyesters are polymers which contain the ester functional group in their main chain. In this research, used raw materias were Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) and methanol. PFAD as a byproduct of the processed of palm oil has great potential to be used

Comparison of fatty acid profile in lamb meat and baby food based on lamb meat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The aim of this study was to compare the fatty acid (FA) profile of fresh lamb meat with those of baby foods based on lamb meat. For this purpose, samples of commercial homogenized (HO) and lyophilized (LIO) baby food based on lamb meat and fresh lamb ...

Extracellular Vesicle‐Transferred ATP‐Citrate Lyase Induces Monocyte Differentiation Toward Tumor‐Associated Macrophages and Fuels Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) enrich the metabolic enzyme ATP‐citrate lyase (ACLY). EV‐transferred ACLY enhances palmitate biosynthesis, increases the S‐palmitoylation and stability of multiple immune checkpoint proteins, augments the cellular immunosuppressive activity, and ultimately accelerates the malignant ...
