Fluorescent Nanosensor for Indole‐3‐Propionic Acid Detection in Gut Health Monitoring
This work introduces a fluorescent nanosensor system with two optical modalities for detection of indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) gut metabolite: (1) blue‐emitting cationic conjugated polyelectrolyte (CP3) and (2) near‐infrared (NIR)‐emitting CP3‐wrapped single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWNT).

Obesity is related to metabolic disorders partially mediated by inflammatory state. In this way, adiponectin/leptin ratio is considered an anti-inflammatory biomarker related to cardiovascular risks. Evidence suggest that decrease in saturated fatty acid

Season and altitude effects on milk fatty acid profile in Sarda dairy sheep flocks [PDF]
Diet plays a major role in modulating the fatty acid composition of ruminant milk. It is also well known that the intake of fresh forages has a positive influence on polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA), particularly CLA and omega- 3, compared with diets ...

Engineering of Glioblastoma‐Derived Biomimetic Vesicles and Their Structural and Molecular Features
ABSTRACT Biomimetic nanosystems and vesicles have arisen as a novel approach to design vesicular transport systems with diverse therapeutic potential. The ‘biomimetic’ strategy involves the integration of cell membrane components into lipid bilayers, conferring them with biological properties originating from the cell of origin. Until now, most studies

FATTY ACIDE PROFILING OF MAMMARY TUMORS
Introduction Altered fatty acid metabolism is recognized as a component of malignant transformation in many aspects of cancer cells. Attempts to define alterations in FAM pathways and the role of different lipids in cancer physiology depend on the ability to accurately monitor changes in lipid composition at cell level due to the diversity of lipid ...

Pressure skin wounds are frequent complications after spinal cord injury (SCI), with impaired healing due to vascular and immune deficits. Elastin‐like polypeptides (ELP) fused to α‐MSH (MSH‐ELP) or MCP‐1 (MCP‐ELP) are developed and tested on these wounds. The resulting nanoparticles are non‐toxic and bioactive, and they enhance macrophage recruitment,

FATTY ACIDS PROFILE OF FRESH CHEESE PRODUCED IN AN INTENSIVE SILVOPASTORAL SYSTEM IN THE TROPICS
Intensive silvopastoral systems are being increasingly disseminated in the tropical areas of Mexico, Central and South America, so it is important to know the quality of the animal products generated in these systems.

We developed a novel copper‐doped aluminum nano‐adjuvant (CuNA) to overcome cytarabine resistance in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). CuNA effectively sensitizes drug‐resistant AML cells to cytarabine by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction and inhibiting HMGCR/GPX4 to amplify ferroptosis.
