How does leaf age affect performance? A comparative study of essential oils from young and mature Eucalyptus globulus leaves in crop protection

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Leaf age influences metabolomic profiling but not bioactivity of Eucalyptus globulus essential oils. Leaf age affects volatile levels of young and adult E. globulus oils, but not their bioactivity. Young leaf essential oil had higher contents of α‐ and β‐pinene. AEEO had higher levels of 1,8‐cineole and trans‐pinocarveol.

Microbiome‐mediated chemical communication in insects: Implications for pest management

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Microbiome–semiochemical interactions involve the following processes: direct microbial synthesis, host gene regulation, precursor biotransformation, microbiome modulation and indirect ecological signaling. Abstract Insects rely on semiochemicals to regulate aggregation, mating, foraging, and host selection. This review synthesizes evidence that insect‐

The Neuroprotective Effect of a Waste Byproduct Obtained From Pomegranate (Punica granatum)

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
The Effect of a Waste Byproduct Obtained From Pomegranate on Neurodegeneration. ABSTRACT Pomegranate is an exceptional fruit that can have several beneficial effects on human health. The peel of pomegranate, a waste product, should be recovered as it still contains valuable constituents, including phenolic compounds, minerals and fibre. The recovery of

Sustainably Sourced Dynamic Covalent Network Epoxy Thermosets and Composites: Synthesis, Performance, and Applications

open access: yesSafety Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Dynamic covalent network epoxy thermosets are emerging as a powerful class of sustainable materials that bridge the performance gap between conventional thermosets and thermoplastics. This review highlights recent advances in bio‐based epoxy systems derived from lignins, plant oils, furan derivatives, and natural phenolics, with emphasis on dynamic ...
