Protection technology of coal mine power based on GOOSE network with information sharing

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2015
For problems of override trip in short-circuit fault and fault line selection in single-phase earth fault of coal mine power system, a protection technology of coal mine power based on GOOSE network with information sharing was proposed.

Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

A Novel Approach for Fault Classification and Fault Phase Selection for Transmission Lines

open access: yesIJIREEICE, 2014
Transmission lines are used to transmit electric power for large distances in electrical power systems. The rapid growth of electrical power systems over the past few decades has resulted in a massive increase of the quantity of lines operative and their total length.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Fault phase selection scheme of EHV/UHV transmission line protection for high-resistance faults

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2012
This study proposes a fault phase selection scheme for EHV/UHV transmission line protection during unbalanced faults. The scheme utilises the relative phase angle relationship between the negative and zero sequence currents and the fault impedance to identify the fault phase, providing particularly satisfactory tolerance towards high-fault resistance ...

On the Selection of Calculable Residual Generators for UAV Fault Diagnosis

open access: yes, 2016
Structural Analysis is an established method for Fault Detection and Identification (FDI) in large-scale systems, enabling the discovery of Analytical Redundancy Relations (ARRs) which serve as residual generators.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
