Fault Tolerant Control on an Electric Vehicle

2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2006
The main purpose of this paper concerns a fault tolerant control applied on an electric vehicle known as RobuCar which is a 4times4 electric vehicle, with four electromechanical wheel systems. Fault tolerant control (FTC) is attended to continue the system operation in the presence of several faults in order to remain the security of the system. Active

Fault-Tolerant Control

1994
The increasing complexity of modern engineering production systems and requirements for high quality products have created a need for control systems with fault-tolerance. This chapter presents two algorithms for fault-tolerance analysis and fault-tolerant controller design.

Fault Tolerant Control

2020
Fault tolerant control (FTC) builds up on fault diagnosis and is of major importance for systems of systems such as commercial aircrafts and autonomously operating systems. The task is to react to a fault that has been detected and isolated by providing new appropriate command inputs so that the system can continue its operation in the presence of a ...

Robust fault-tolerant controller design

IECON 2012 - 38th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2012
A robust fault-tolerant control scheme using an accurately-identified model of a plant operating in closed-loop is proposed. Parametric uncertainties are restricted to the subsystems which are likely to vary and do not apply to the entire system. A good accuracy of the parameter estimation scheme is obtained by ensuring that the identified model set ...

Security Fault Tolerance for Access Control

2020 IEEE International Conference on Autonomic Computing and Self-Organizing Systems Companion (ACSOS-C), 2020
This paper describes an approach to the security fault tolerance of access control in which the security breaches of an access control are tolerated by means of a security fault tolerant (SFT) access control. Though an access control is securely designed and implemented, it can contain faults in development or be contaminated in operation.

Fault Tolerant Control

2016
Control is used extensively in industry where it plays an important role in increasing productivity, but it is required to operate safely—especially where interaction with humans takes place. Particularly in safety critical systems like chemical plants, nuclear reactors, aircraft etc., reliability of the system is very important.

Control algorithms for fault-tolerant robots

Proceedings of the 1994 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
When a fault-tolerant robot fails, its fault responsive system detects and identifies the failure. During the recovery process, reconfiguration of the system isolates the fault, and a new system model and a suitable controller attempt to completely compensate for the faulty condition without interrupting the robot's operation.

Fault tolerant mechanisms for SDN controllers

2016 IEEE Conference on Network Function Virtualization and Software Defined Networks (NFV-SDN), 2016
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) enables decoupling of the data plane from the control plane on network devices. This approach differs from the traditional networking architecture where both planes reside on the same network device. SDN offers flexibility, centralized control, reduced complexity and a dramatic decrease in network systems and equipment

Fault Tolerant Control of a Spherical UAV

2019 4th Conference on Control and Fault Tolerant Systems (SysTol), 2019
This paper proposes an FTC schemes for a spherical UAV. The spherical UAV prototype consists of two counter-rotating propellers and eight control vanes. The proposed FTC scheme is based on combining sliding mode control with online control allocation to exploit the available actuator redundancy.
