Neuronal migration and its disorders affecting the CA3 region

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular Neuroscience, 2014
In this review, we focus on CA3 neuronal migration disorders in the rodent. We begin by introducing the main steps of hippocampal development, and we summarize characteristic hippocampal malformations in human.

Differential impacts of Cntnap2 heterozygosity and Cntnap2 null homozygosity on axon and myelinated fiber development in mouse

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2023
Over the last decade, a large variety of alterations of the Contactin Associated Protein 2 (CNTNAP2) gene, encoding Caspr2, have been identified in several neuronal disorders, including neurodevelopmental disorders and peripheral neuropathies.

Hyperlipidemia Aggravates Alveolar Bone Loss via Periodontal Ligament Stem Cell Ferroptosis Through GSK3β Dependent Ubiquitin‐Mediated NRF2 Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid metabolic stress triggers ferroptosis in PDLSCs through the GSK3β/NRF2 pathway, thereby aggravating periodontal bone loss. Upregulated GSK3β promotes NRF2 ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation via β‐TrCP, suppressing NRF2 nuclear translocation and antioxidant target expression.

CXCL12 targets the primary cilium cAMP/cGMP ratio to regulate cell polarity during migration

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Directed cell migration requires sustained cell polarisation. In migrating cortical interneurons, nuclear movements are directed towards the centrosome that organises the primary cilium signalling hub.

Inhibition of Focal Adhesion Restricts Chemoresistance in Pancreatic Cancer by Targeting SLC7A11 Mediated Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FAK signaling drives chemoresistance and tumor evolution in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. The FAK inhibitor IN10018 restores gemcitabine sensitivity by inducing SLC7A11‐mediated ferroptosis through the PI3K‐Akt pathway and remodeling the tumor microenvironment, reducing mesenchymal components while enhancing CD8+ T‐cell infiltration in preclinical ...

Absolutely Feasible Synchronous Reluctance Machine Rotor Barrier Topologies with Minimal Parametric Complexity

open access: yesMachines, 2022
The first step in the synchronous reluctance machine design is the selection of rotor flux barrier type. The literature provides various barrier construction methods with a common goal of reducing parametric complexity.

PIEZO1 is Required for Acute Myeloid Leukemia Progression and Leukemia Stem Cell Maintenance via HIF1A‐SLC7A11 Axis‐Mediated Ferroptosis Defense

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the mechanosensor PIEZO1 as a key factor in promoting acute myeloid leukemia progression and uncovers a ferroptosis defense system mediated by PIEZO1‐HIF1A‐SLC7A11 axis that is essential for leukemia stem cell maintenance. This ferroptotic defense system may represent a unique vulnerability for leukemia stem cells, providing a ...
