Validation of a Novel Fgf10Cre–ERT2 Knock-in Mouse Line Targeting FGF10Pos Cells Postnatally

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, 2021
Fgf10 is a key gene during development, homeostasis and repair after injury. We previously reported a knock-in Fgf10Cre–ERT2 line (with the Cre-ERT2 cassette inserted in frame with the start codon of exon 1), called thereafter Fgf10Ki–v1, to target ...

Mechanical Distraction Engages a Neuro‐Immune Program to Drive Regenerative Soft‐Tissue Healing in Ilizarov Bone Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ilizarov bone transport accelerates healing of soft‐tissue wounds through unclear mechanisms. In a rat model, sustained mechanical distraction elicits calcitonin gene‐related peptide (CGRP)‐dominant sensory reinnervation, creating a niche that shifts immune cells from inflammatory to repair‐promoting states and speeds re‐epithelialization.

Fgf10 expression and function in early ureter and kidney development.

open access: yes, 2013
(A,B) In situ hybridization in transverse sections of E10.5 wild type embryos reveals that Fgf10 and Gdnf are expressed in metanephric mesenchyme (arrows).

Characterization of Tg(Etv4-GFP) and Etv5RFP Reporter Lines in the Context of Fibroblast Growth Factor 10 Signaling During Mouse Embryonic Lung Development

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2019
Members of the PEA3 transcription factors are emerging as bone fide targets for fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling. Among them, ETV4 and ETV5 appear to mediate FGF10 signaling during early embryonic lung development.

Identification and analysis of a novel nuclear role of Fibroblast Growth Factor 10 (FGF10) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Fibroblast growth factor 10 (FGF10) is a paracrine molecule, serving crucial mesenchymal-to-epithelial signalling roles during development and postnatally.

The Role of Fibroblast Growth Factor 10 Signaling in Duodenal Atresia

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2020
IntroductionDuodenal atresia (DA) is a congenital bowel obstruction requiring major surgery in the first week of life. Three morphological phenotypes are described, reflecting increasing degrees of obstruction and discontinuity of the duodenum. The cause

Human iPSC‐Derived Vascularised Lung Organoids for Modelling COPD and Pulmonary Hypertension

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Vascularised lung organoids (vLOs) that faithfully mimic human lung tissue architecture and disease pathology are critical for advancing pulmonary research but remain challenging to generate. Here, we developed a robust self‐organisation protocol to produce vLOs with cellular heterogeneity and functional vasculature. The engineered blood vessels within

Tbx4 and Tbx5 interact with Fgf10, but FGF10 fails to rescue Tbx4- and Tbx5-deficient lungs.

open access: yes, 2012
(A–E) Lungs of different genotypes at E18.5. Tbx4;Tbx5 double heterozygous lungs (B) are smaller than control lungs (A). Tbx4;Tbx5;Fgf10 triple heterozygous lungs (C) are smaller than the double heterozygous lungs (B) but comparable in size to the lung ...

FGF Signaling in Lung Development and Disease: Human Versus Mouse

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2019
Fibroblast growth factor 10 (FGF10) plays an important role in mouse lung development, injury, and repair. It is considered the main morphogen driving lung branching morphogenesis in rodents.
