CONTINUOUS FINITE TIME OBSERVER FOR CHAOTIC SYNCHRONIZATION

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract This paper introduces a new type of finite time observer for the synchronization of chaotic systems that can be put in Brunovsky canonical form up to output injection. The main contribution is that finite time observation is obtained using continuous output injections. The method is applied on the Chua's circuit.

Observer-Based Finite-Time H∞ Control of Singular Markovian Jump Systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
This paper addresses the problem of finite-time H∞ control via observer-based state feedback for a family of singular Markovian jump systems (SMJSs) with time-varying norm-bounded disturbance.

Finite-Time Trajectory Tracking Control for Rigid 3-DOF Manipulators With Disturbances

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper addresses the robust finite-time trajectory tracking control problem for a rigid three-degrees-of-freedom (3-DOFs) manipulator system, which is subject to model uncertainty and external disturbances.

Zonotopic fault detection observer design for Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper considers zonotopic fault detection observer design in the finite-frequency domain for discrete-time Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy systems with unknown but bounded disturbances and measurement noise. We present a novel fault detection observer structure,

Backstepping Control with a Fractional-Order Command Filter and Disturbance Observer for Unmanned Surface Vehicles

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
In the paper, a backstepping control strategy based on a fractional-order finite-time command filter and a fractional-order finite-time disturbance observer is proposed for the trajectory tracking control of an unmanned surface vehicle.

Disturbance Observer-Based Finite-Time Speed Control for Marine Diesel Engine With Input Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this article, a finite-time observer-based speed control strategy for the marine diesel engine is proposed with consideration of system parameter uncertainties, external disturbances and input constraints. Initially, a finite-time disturbance observer

Population bound effects on bosonic correlations in non-inertial frames [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We analyse the effect of bounding the occupation number of bosonic field modes on the correlations among all the different spatial-temporal regions in a setting in which we have a space-time with a horizon along with an inertial observer.

Finite time observer for nonlinear systems

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract This paper proposes a nonlinear finite time convergent observer that does not require to compute any inverse coordinate transformation. The finite time estimate is recovered from two asymptotically convergent estimates which have linear error dynamics in transformed coordinates through the transformation Jacobian only. An extended version of

A Non-Singular Fast Terminal Sliding Mode Control Based on Third-Order Sliding Mode Observer for a Class of Second-Order Uncertain Nonlinear Systems and its Application to Robot Manipulators

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper proposes a controller-observer strategy for a class of second-order uncertain nonlinear systems with only available position measurement. The third-order sliding mode observer is first introduced to estimate both velocities and the lumped ...
