GLSD: The Global Large-Scale Ship Database and Baseline Evaluations [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce a challenging global large-scale ship database (called GLSD), designed specifically for ship detection tasks. The designed GLSD database includes a total of 212,357 annotated instances from 152,576 images. Based on the collected images, we propose 13 ship categories that widely exist in international routes. These categories

Since the first report by Bang and Dyerberg regarding the apparent beneficial effects of a fish oil-enriched diet on the incidence of atherosclerotic heart disease in Greenland eskimos, a considerable number of studies have been performed regarding the effects of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on the prevention and treatment of a variety of ...

TOMM20 increases cancer aggressiveness by maintaining a reduced state with increased NADH and NADPH levels, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and apoptosis resistance while reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Conversely, CRISPR‐Cas9 knockdown of TOMM20 alters these cancer‐aggressive traits.

How does stock market volatility react to oil shocks? [PDF]
We study the impact of oil price shocks on the U.S. stock market volatility. We jointly analyze three different structural oil market shocks (i.e., aggregate demand, oil supply, and oil-specific demand shocks) and stock market volatility using a structural vector autoregressive model.

Fish oils in the prevention of atherosclerosis
The hypothesis that oils derived from the flesh of fish and marine mammals inhibit the atherosclerotic process is critically reviewed. Populations consuming a diet rich in fish have low rates of coronary heart disease. Dietary fish oil is associated with changes in serum lipids, prostaglandin and leukotriene metabolism, enhanced endothelial function ...

We introduce an immunohistochemistry method to measure autophagy flux, highlighting the active degradation and recycling of cellular waste. This cost‐effective approach uses tissue samples to track key markers like LC3 and SQSTM1, revealing how cells maintain health or respond to diseases such as cancer. It bridges the gap between research and clinical

Evaluacion de un producto a base de aceite esencial de oregano sobre la integridad intestinal, la capacidad de absorcion de nutrientes y el comportamiento productivo de pollos de carne [PDF]
Eight experiments were conducted to test an oregano-essential-oil-based product (PRO) on performance, gut health, and nutrient absorption capacity in broilers. The first three, up to 14d and without specific challenges, tested the effects on intestinal histology, skeletal integrity, and growth.
