Analyzing the Morphology of Late-phase Stellar Flares from G-, K-, and M-type Stars
Stellar flares occasionally present a peak-bump light-curve morphology, consisting of an initial impulsive phase followed by a gradual late phase.

Objective The multinational, phase 3, double‐blind, placebo‐controlled TULIP‐SC trial evaluated the efficacy and safety of subcutaneous anifrolumab in adults who have moderate to severe systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) activity, despite receiving standard therapy. Methods Adults with SLE received subcutaneous anifrolumab 120 mg or placebo once weekly

Polarization of Circumstellar Debris Disk Light Echoes
Light echoes of debris disks around active stars can reveal disk structure and composition even when disks are not spatially resolved. Unfortunately, distinguishing reflected light from quiescent starlight and unexpected post-peak flare structure is ...

White Light Flare Continuum Observations with ULTRACAM
We present sub-second, continuous-coverage photometry of three flares on the dM3.5e star, EQ Peg A, using custom continuum filters with WHT/ULTRACAM. These data provide a new view of flare continuum emission, with each flare exhibiting a very distinct ...

Objective Ear, nose, and throat (ENT) manifestations are common in antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)–associated vasculitis (AAV). There is an unmet need for drugs to target these manifestations. Granuloma formation is characteristic of proteinase 3 (PR3)–AAV. In a zebrafish model, niclosamide inhibits PR3‐induced granuloma formation.

Extreme ultraviolet (EUV; 100–912 Å) photons influence the formation and evolution of planets by ionizing hydrogen and other species, but the EUV radiation of most exoplanet host stars is poorly constrained.

Coordinated ultraviolet and radio observations of selected nearby stars [PDF]
All of the US2 shifts assigned were successfully completed with simultaneous International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE) and the Very Large Array (VLA) observations of the proposed target stars. The target stars included dwarf M flare stars and RS CVn stars.

Doppler imaging combined with high-cadence photometry
Context. Latitude distribution of stellar magnetic activity is not well constrained by observations, despite its importance for a better understanding of stellar dynamos and their effects on planetary environments. Aims.

Stellar Flares in the TESS Light Curves of Planet-hosting M Dwarfs
M dwarfs are magnetically active stars that frequently produce flares, which have implications for both stellar evolution and exoplanet studies. Flare occurrence rates and activity levels of M dwarfs correlate with stellar characteristics such as age ...

Objective To assess the association between early antimalarial adherence and future acute care utilization and cost in a population‐based cohort of incident rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods All patients with incident RA/SLE and new antimalarial use in British Columbia, Canada, between January 1997 and March 2022
