Use of Ghost Cytometry to Differentiate Cells with Similar Gross Morphologic Characteristics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Imaging flow cytometry shows significant potential for increasing our understanding of heterogeneous and complex life systems and is useful for biomedical applications. Ghost cytometry is a recently proposed approach for directly analyzing compressively measured signals, thereby relieving the computational bottleneck observed in high-throughput ...

Imaging cytometry without image reconstruction (ghost cytometry) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Imaging and analysis of many single cells hold great potential in our understanding of heterogeneous and complex life systems and in enabling biomedical applications. We here introduce a recently realized image-free "imaging" cytometry technology, which we call ghost cytometry.

Statistical File Matching of Flow Cytometry Data [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
Flow cytometry is a technology that rapidly measures antigen-based markers associated to cells in a cell population. Although analysis of flow cytometry data has traditionally considered one or two markers at a time, there has been increasing interest in multidimensional analysis.

A quick, reliable, and automated method for fat cell sizing

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2003
Mean diameters of fat cells from abdominal tissues from 31 volunteers were determined by three methods based on fat cell isolation after collagenase digestion and methylene blue staining.

Flow Cytometry as a Diagnostic Tool in the Early Diagnosis of Aggressive Lymphomas Mimicking Life-Threatening Infection

open access: yesCase Reports in Medicine, 2011
Aggressive lymphomas can present with symptoms mimicking life-threatening infection. Flow cytometry (FC) is usually recommended for the classification and staging of lymphomas in patients with organomegaly and atypical cells in effusions and blood, after

Investigations of dynamic light scattering properties in fluorescent solution: A comprehensive study using plasmonic enhanced Flow-Cytometry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
In this article we present a new diagnostic approach utilizing flow-cytometry to study compounds of nanoparticle samples in solution by analysis of their scattering patterns retrieved from the cytometric measurements. As a specific enhancement of this technique we study as well the scattering pattern of nanoparticles in a fluorescent solution (529 nm).

An Algorithmic Pipeline for Analyzing Multi-parametric Flow Cytometry Data [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Flow cytometry (FC) is a single-cell profiling platform for measuring the phenotypes of individual cells from millions of cells in biological samples. FC employs high-throughput technologies and generates high-dimensional data, and hence algorithms for analyzing the data represent a bottleneck.
