Withanolide D Exhibits Anxiolytic and Memory‐Protective Effects. ABSTRACT This study evaluated the anxiolytic and memory‐protective effects of withanolide D in adult zebrafish (Danio rerio). The compound was administered at doses of 4, 20, and 40 mg/kg and showed no signs of toxicity after 96 h of observation at any of the doses tested.

Benzodiazepine receptor binding in cerebellar degenerations studied with positron emission tomography [PDF]
We used positron emission tomography with [ 11 C]flumazenil to study gamma‐aminobutyric acid type A/benzodiazepine receptor binding quantitatively in the cerebral hemispheres, basal ganglia, thalamus, cerebellum, and brainstem of 72 subjects, including ...

Altered functional connectivity of basal forebrain subregions (Ch1‐3, Ch4) and widespread cerebral hypometabolism were identified in Alzheimer's disease using simultaneous PET/MRI. Spatial correspondence with normative neurotransmitter receptor and transporter maps suggested that serotonergic and dopaminergic systems may contribute to AD‐related ...

Schematic overview of the proposed neuromodulatory actions of linalool in Alzheimer's disease. Through multi‐target effects on oxidative stress, amyloid aggregation, GABAergic and glutamatergic signaling, linalool may restore excitatory/inhibitory balance.

Prolonged infusion of flumazenil for the reversal of sedation from chlordiazepoxide: a case report
A continuous infusion of flumazenil may be needed to mitigate prolonged sedation from benzodiazepines. Some benzodiazepines have extended durations of action.

Abstract Background and Purpose GABAA receptors (GABAARs) are heteropentameric ion channels that control almost all CNS functions, including spinal nociception. Most GABAARs contain a γ2 subunit but differ in their α and β subunit composition. TPA023B is an α2/α3 subtype selective, non‐sedative, positive allosteric modulator (PAM) with antihyperalgesic

[11C]flumazenil binding is increased in a dose-dependent manner with tiagabine-induced elevations in GABA levels. [PDF]
Evidence indicates that synchronization of cortical activity at gamma-band frequencies, mediated through GABA-A receptors, is important for perceptual/cognitive processes.
