Natural Variation of COLD and CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 Coordinately Fine‐Tunes Cold Tolerance and Tea Quality in Tea Plants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multi‐trait genome‐wide association mapping identifies a central hub regulator, COLD AND CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 (CCR1), and its excellent natural allele variation, coordinately enhancing cold tolerance and promoting catechins biosyntheis. CsCCR1 interacts with CsCBF1/3 and is transcriptionally activated by CsLUX and CsKUA1 to promote catechins ...

The Evolution of Fungicide Resistance Resulting from Combinations of Foliar-Acting Systemic Seed Treatments and Foliar-Applied Fungicides: A Modeling Analysis

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2016
For the treatment of foliar diseases of cereals, fungicides may be applied as foliar sprays or systemic seed treatments which are translocated to leaves. Little research has been done to assess the resistance risks associated with foliar-acting systemic seed treatments when used alone or in combination with foliar sprays, even though both types of ...

Toward Standardized Leaf Sampling for Foliar Nutrient Analysis in Breadfruit [PDF]

open access: yesHortTechnology, 2019
Breadfruit ( Artocarpus altilis ) cultivation is gaining momentum throughout the tropics due to its high yield and nutritious fruit. One impediment to expanding production of breadfruit is the lack of agronomic research related to production management.

Herbicide Metabolic Resistance in Poaceae Plants via the GA‐GID1/DELLA‐DOF2‐P450s Module

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Plant hormone signaling modulates herbicide resistance in Echinochloa crus‐galli. The GA–DELLA–DOF2 cascade directly activates P450 detoxification genes in two Poaceae species, uncovering a core mechanism of metabolic herbicide resistance. ABSTRACT Barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus‐galli) is one of the world's most important weeds, and the evolution of ...

Transcriptome Analysis of the Chrysanthemum Foliar Nematode, Aphelenchoides ritzemabosi (Aphelenchida: Aphelenchoididae)

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2016
The chrysanthemum foliar nematode (CFN), Aphelenchoides ritzemabosi, is a plant parasitic nematode that attacks many plants. In this study, a transcriptomes of mixed-stage population of CFN was sequenced on the Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform. 68.10 million Illumina high quality paired end reads were obtained which generated 26,817 transcripts with a mean

Interference of ATP‐Binding Cassette Transporter by Functional Nano‐Delivery System for High Efficiency Management of Insecticide‐Resistant Nilaparvata lugens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A ZIF‐90 nanocarrier delivers dinotefuran and suppresses NlABCG3 and NlABCH1 in resistant Nilaparvata lugens. This system combines pH/ATP‐triggered release with enhanced foliar retention, improving efficacy while sparing honeybees and promoting rice growth, offering a promising resistance‐breaking strategy.

Assessment of Sources and Pollution Level of Airborne Toxic Metals through Foliar Dust in an Urban Roadside Environment

open access: yesAsian Journal of Atmospheric Environment, 2023
Concentrations of 19 elements (Al, Fe, Ca, K, Mg, Na, S, Ti, Ba, Sr, Zn, V, Cu, Mn, Cr, Pb, Ni, Co, and Cd) in foliar dust samples were determined from 6 different roadside locations of Bilaspur city (Chhattisgarh), India.
