cDNA Cloning and Distribution of theXenopusFollistatin-Related Protein
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1999Recently, several proteins which have a follistatin module have been isolated. One of them, the follistatin-related protein (FRP), is encoded by TSC-36 (TGF-beta-stimulated clone 36) in mouse, originally isolated as a cDNA clone up-regulated by TGF-beta1 in mouse osteogenic MC3T3E1 cells.

[Pathophysiological functions of follistatin related protein].
Sheng li ke xue jin zhan [Progress in physiology], 2012Follistatin related protein (FRP) is an extra-cellular glycoprotein, involved in several pathological and physiological processes such as cell proliferation, migration, tissue remodeling, embryonic development, and cell-cell interaction. Nowadays researches showed that FRP possesses dual functions, including inhibiting cell apoptosis and inhibiting ...

Follistatin-related protein (FSRP), which belongs to a member of the follistatin family, has been postulated to be a new negative regulator of myostatin (MSTN) and is involved in muscle development. In this study, we cloned the complete cDNA sequence of FSRP-1 from Chinese perch muscle.

[Characterization of follistatin-related protein from the hard tick Haemaphysalis longicornis].
Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2011We designed the primers based on the sequence of the follistatin-related protein from Haemaphysalis longicornis Okayama strain accessed in GenBank. We cloned a gene encoding follistatin-related protein by RT-PCR, and the length cDNA is 814 bp, encoding a deduced protein of 289 amino acids.

[Research progress of follistatin-related proteins in digestive system tumors].
Zhonghua yu fang yi xue za zhi [Chinese journal of preventive medicine]Tumors of the digestive system are one of the most important factors affecting people's quality of life and have become a serious public health problem globally.Early screening and intervention of tumor markers in high-risk groups for tumors is the key to tumor prevention.

Background: Recent findings suggest that epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT), a key step during heart development, is involved in cardiac tissue repair following myocardial infarction (MI). In particular, epicardial cells that undergo this process, acquire stem cell-like properties, migrate and differentiate into a number of distinct cell types ...
