A NETs‐inspired Ti3C2/LDH hydrogel integrates trapping, ROS boosting, and M2‐immunomodulation for MRSA‐infected wound repair. ABSTRACT MRSA infections give rise to chronic cutaneous and advance into profound tissue invasions, including osteomyelitis and sepsis—conditions for which existing clinical interventions offer only limited efficacy. The utility

This study reveals that dietary stachyose enriches Butyricimonas virosa, effectively attenuating metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Mechanistically, B. virosa enhances gut thiamine monophosphate synthesis, which elevates hepatic thiamine pyrophosphate levels.

Periodontitis Induces B Cell‐Macrophage Crosstalk to Exacerbate Glucose Dysregulation in Obesity
In obesity, periodontitis exacerbates hyperglycemia and exhibits a liver‐centric preference for glucose regulation. This occurs through a periodontitis‐driven circuit between pathogenic B cells and hepatic macrophages. Their reciprocal expansion, orchestrated by the NLRP3/IL‐18 signaling pathway, amplifies metabolic inflammation and disrupts glucose ...

One of the most vexed questions in copepod biology is that of the kind and amount of food needed. The problem can be tackled in three ways. First, we can find out the food actually taken in the sea; this is a qualitative rather than a quantitative approach.

Publisher Summary In this chapter, mycotoxins in feeds and foods are discussed. Mycotoxins are metabolites of molds which can produce pathological or undesirable physiological responses in man and other warm-blooded animals. These metabolites are occasionally ingested as contaminants in foods subjected to mold attack, and can be responsible for ...

Food Allergy and Complementary Feeding
2011The relationship between complementary feeding and the development of atopic disease is the source of significant interest and debate in both the scientific and lay communities. A small number of early studies, which had considerable influence on recommended feeding practices, reported protective effects associated with delaying the introduction of ...
