Evaluation of the scientific validity and applicability of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025‒2030 and its implications for China

open access: yesShanghai yufang yixue
Dietary guidelines are nutritional policy tools formulated according to the global consensus on nutrition science and national conditions. Based on five core consensuses, namely dietary patterns, food group recommendations, full life cycle coverage ...

Programming Gut Microbiome Function Through Cross‐Feeding: From Ecological Mechanisms to Live Biotherapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract presents gut microbial cross‐feeding through a Mechanism–Technology–Application framework. It summarizes major resource‐transfer modes, the experimental and computational tools used to establish causality, and potential interventions involving dietary substrates, live biotherapeutic products, and engineered microbes.

A cross-cultural study of sustainable nutrition and its environmental impact in Asia and Europe: A comparison of China and Germany

open access: yesRegional Sustainability
Global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and health crises necessitate a shift towards sustainable diets. Incorporating sustainability into food-based dietary guidelines (FBDGs) is essential for this shift, and cultural considerations

Integrated O2 and H2 Gas Therapy via Microneedle‐Assisted Photocatalytic Water Splitting for Accelerating Diabetic Full‐Thickness Skin Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A concept of integrated O2 and H2 gas therapy is achieved using a gas‐producing material. PMP nanoparticles, fabricated from platinum, MIL‐101(Fe)‐NH2, and phosphotungstic acid, are integrated into bilayer gelatin methacryloyl microneedles for transdermal delivery. These microneedles enable integrated O2 and H2 gas therapy and promote wound healing via

The Adipose‐Sympathetic Nerve Crosstalk: FSTL1 as an Adipocyte‐Derived Neurotrophic Factor for WAT Browning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As a novel adipose‐derived neurotrophic factor, Follistatin‐like 1 is endocytosed by sympathetic neurons primarily via tropomyosin‐related kinase B. This process promotes sympathetic innervation in adipose tissue and norepinephrine release, leading to white adipose tissue browning, enhanced thermogenesis, and anti‐obesity effects in mice.

Evaluation of dietary intake in Danish adults by means of an index based on food-based dietary guidelines

open access: yesFood & Nutrition Research, 2012
Data on dietary intake and physical activity has been collected from a representative sample of the Danish population from 2003-2008.The aim of the present study was to describe the habitual diet in Denmark and to evaluate the overall diet quality using a diet quality index based on the National Food-Based Dietary Guidelines (FBDG), which consists of ...

Oligosaccharides With Defined Glycosidic Bonds Shape Gut Microbial Succession and Metabolism Via Bond‐Specific Microbial Responders

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Oligosaccharides with defined glycosidic bonds drive divergent gut microbial succession and shape unique metabolic profiles. Absolute time‐series profiling with Bayesian generalized Lotka–Volterra modeling identifies bond‐specific microbial responders, while monoculture validation and metaproteomics reveal linkage‐matched transport and cleavage modules.
