Journal of Comparative Pathology, 1992A virulent strain of serotype 8 fowl adenovirus (FAV) was isolated from an outbreak of inclusion body hepatitis (IBH) in broiler flocks. Post-mortem changes included characteristic liver lesions with intranuclear inclusion bodies in the hepatocytes and severe lymphocytic depletion in the bursa, thymus and spleen.

The complete nucleotide sequence of fowl adenovirus type 8
Microbiology, 2000The fowl adenovirus type 8 (FAdV-8) genome was sequenced and found to be 45063 nucleotides in length, the longest adenovirus (AdV) genome for which the complete nucleotide sequence has been determined so far. Avian Diseases, 1981An adenovirus isolated from the trachea of a chicken with respiratory disease was compared with an isolate obtained from the trachea of a clinically normal chicken.
