Commercial application of biocatalysts depends on the efficiency of the immobilization method and residual enzyme activity. Electrospinning offers a simple and versatile route to immobilize enzymes in submicron-sized fibers and thus improved mass transfer characteristics.

Adsorption equilibrium of fructosyltransferase on a weak anion-exchange resin
Journal of Chromatography A, 2007The adsorption equilibrium of a glycoprotein, fructosyltransferase from Aureobasidium pullulans, on an anion-exchange resin, Sepabeads FP-DA activated with 0.1M NaOH, was investigated. The adsorption isotherms were determined at 20 degrees C in a phosphate-citrate buffer with pH 6.0 using the static method.

Isolation and characterization of fructosyltransferase from chicory roots
Phytochemistry, 1971Abstract The occurrence of fructosyltransferase was demonstrated in the roots of chicory. The enzyme was purified 14-fold by ammonium sulphate fractionation and sephadex column chromatography. The optimal conditions for activity were pH 5·6, 37° and substrate (sucrose) concentration of 5·84 × 10 −1 M.
