Restrict for Health or for Thinness? Liking but Not Approach Bias Differentiates Orthorexic Eating Behavior From Anorexia Nervosa in Responses to High‐Caloric Healthy vs. High‐Caloric Unhealthy Foods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Individuals with high levels of orthorexic eating behavior (OEB) show a (pathological) fixation on healthy eating. Shared characteristics of OEB with individuals with anorexia nervosa (AN) raised debate over whether orthorexia nervosa constitutes a distinct disorder. Distinctions may lie in preference for and approach behavior toward

Protein‐Based High‐Performance Liquid Chromatography and Cyclodextrin‐Capillary Electrokinetic Chromatography for the Chiral Separation of Azoles

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
Human serum albumin‐based high‐performance liquid chromatography and cyclodextrin‐based capillary electrokinetic chromatography were used for the chiral separation of azoles. Although only two of the five tested azoles could be enantioseparated by liquid chromatography, all of them were separated by capillary electrokinetic chromatography using single ...

A New Vista of Opportunity in Diabetes Management: Natural Product‐Based β‐cell Preservation

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Preserving functional β‐cells via natural products offers promising strategy for diabetes treatment. ABSTRACT A defining characteristic of diabetes is β‐cell failure, in which β‐cells cannot modulate insulin secretion to compensate for escalating insulin resistance, pushing forward disease development.

Characterization of Cantaloupe, Grape, Pumpkin, and Tomato Seed Oils From Xinjiang: Oxidative Stability, Volatile‐Compound Analysis, and Sensory Evaluation

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
This study compares oxidative stability, fatty acid profiles, volatile compounds, and sensory attributes of four Xinjiang seed oils. Distinct aldehyde‐driven aroma patterns and compositional differences were revealed, providing a scientific basis for quality evaluation and valorization of underutilized plant seed oils in food applications.
