Bioactive glycosides in citrus fruit peels

Abstract Since 1980's we have been investigating bioactive compounds in citrus fruit peels. We have successfully isolated seventy-three glycosides including thirty-four new compounds. They were flavonoid glycosides, phenylpropanoid glycosides, terpenoid glycosides, limonoid glycosides, and alkyl glycosides.

Abstract Three antifungal compounds isolated from the peel of immature Avocado fruit have been identified as 1,2,4-trihydroxyheptadec-16-yne, 1,2,4-trihydroxyheptadec-16-ene and 1 -acetoxy-2,4-dihydroxyheptadec-16-yne, previously detected in extracts from avocado seeds.
