Flavonoid Glycosides in Citrus Fruits Peelings

open access: yesJournal of Japan Oil Chemists' Society, 1986
As one of the studies on physiological acitive substances in citrus peel, the present paper describes structures and hypotensive effects of flavonoid glycosides on zabon, grapefruit and hassaku peels. Five flavonoid glycosides were isolated and their structures were established as 6, 8-di-C-glucosylapigenin (1), 3, 8-di-C-glucosylapigenin (2 ...

Hypotensive Substances in Citrus Fruit Peels

open access: yesJapanese Heart Journal, 1980
We compared the hypotensive effects of fractions with molecular weights of 500 to 1, 000 obtained from hot water extracts from twelve kinds of citrus peel. Intravenous administration of fractions from mandarine orange, lemon, grapefruit, yuzu, orange, iyokan, narutokan and sudachi showed marked falls of blood pressure in SHR and SHRSP.
