BLADE‐ON‐PETIOLE Genes Enable Genetic Bottleneck Mitigation Through Cross‐Species Repurposing of Floral Persistence Traits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that BLADE‐ON‐PETIOLE (BOP) proteins regulate floral abscission and senescence in tomato by interacting with TFAM1 to form transcriptional condensates controlling the ARABIDOPSIS THALIANA HOMEOBOX GENE 1 (ATH1)‐mediated abscission pathway.

Effects of Combined Heat and Preservative Treatment on Storability of Ponkan Fruit (Citrus reticulata Blanco cv. Ponkan) during Postharvest Storage

open access: yesJournal of Food Quality, 2017
Heat treatment and preservative application have been widely used during postharvest storage of many fresh products, but the effect of their combination on citrus storage has rarely been investigated.

Intracellular Aβ42 Sequestration by a Serine Protease Mitigates Neurotoxicity in a Drosophila Alzheimer's Disease Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Emerging evidence suggests that intraneuronal Aβ accumulation represents an early pathogenic event in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Using Drosophila AD model, this study shows that a nonsecreted serine protease Yip7 physically interacts with Aβ. This causes intraneuronal Aβ accumulation but surprisingly reduces the associated neurotoxicity, arguing that ...

Long‐Tea‐CLIP: An Expert‐Level Multimodal AI Framework for Fine‐Grained Green Tea Grading Across Five Sensory Dimensions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Long‐Tea‐CLIP (Contrastive Language‐Image Pre‐training) presents a multimodal AI framework that integrates visual, metabolomic, and sensory knowledge to grade green tea across appearance, soup color, aroma, taste, and infused leaf. By combining expert‐guided modeling with CLIP‐supervised learning, the system delivers fine‐grained quality evaluation and

Effect of deficit irrigation and reclaimed water on yield and quality of grapefruits at harvest and postharvest [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The aim of our research was to discover the effects of the long-term irrigation with saline reclaimed (RW) and transfer (TW) water and different irrigation strategies: control (C) and regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) on yield and fruit quality of ...

Integration of Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omics in Peach Fruit Unravels a Metabolic Niche and the Genetic Basis of Trichome‐Mediated Stress Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the first spatiotemporal multi‐omics map of peach fruit and discovered a key candidate gene that synergistically regulates trichome development and drought tolerance through the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, providing insights into the coupling mechanism between development and stress resistance.
