TRMT61A‐Mediated m1A Modification Suppresses FDX1 Translation to Drive Cuproptosis Evasion and Radioresistance in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 3, September 2026.
This study identifies tRNA methyltransferase 61 A (TRMT61A)‐mediated N1‐methyladenosine (m1A) modification as a driver of radioresistance in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by suppressing cuproptosis. TRMT61A methylates FDX1 mRNA, enabling YTHDF3 recognition and eRF1 recruitment to inhibit FDX1 translation.

Epitranscriptomic Regulation of Bone Metabolism: Emerging Roles of N6‐Methyladenosine (m6A) Modification in Skeletal Homeostasis

open access: yesOral Science International, Volume 23, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) is the most abundant internal chemical modification of eukaryotic RNA and a central mechanism of epitranscriptomic gene regulation. Although m6A was first characterized in messenger RNA (mRNA), it is also deposited on ribosomal RNA (rRNA), circular RNA, and other RNA species, where it regulates RNA stability, decay ...

Design and Optimization of High‐Efficiency Se1‐xTex Thin‐Film Solar Cells via Interface and Back‐Contact Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, Volume 9, Issue 8, August 2026.
SCAPS‐1D modeling shows that bandgap‐engineered Se0.75Te0.25 (Eg ≈ 1.35 eV) can support high‐efficiency thin‐film photovoltaics through absorber, interface, and rear‐contact optimization. A MoOx‐based device reaches 21.94% PCE, while an HTL‐free configuration with a 5.5 eV rear‐contact work function achieves 21.59%.

Targeting METTL3 Attenuates Thyroid Inflammatory Injury by Restoring Th17/Treg Balance through a YTHDC2‐m6A‐Dependent KDR/VEGFA Loop

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
METTL3‐mediated m6A modification stabilizes KDR/Kdr mRNA through YTHDC2, amplifying the VEGFA‐KDR feedback loop and disturbing Th17/Treg balance. This pathway promotes persistent inflammation and tissue damage in patients with AIT, and inhibiting the METTL3‐KDR axis effectively disrupts this circuit, alleviating thyroid tissue injury and disease ...

Master Regulator SMC1A, Stabilized by N6‐Methyladenosine Reader IGF2BP1, Promotes HCC Progression Through Facilitating Enhancer–Promoter Interaction of Nestin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 43, 3 August 2026.
IGF2BP1‐mediated m6A stabilization sustains SMC1A expression, enabling cohesin‐associated chromatin regulation of Nestin in hepatocellular carcinoma. This work reveals an epitranscriptomic‐chromatin‐cytoskeletal regulatory axis linked to malignant phenotypes and identifies SMC1A as a biologically relevant vulnerability in HCC.
