Finding needles in haystacks: linking scientific names, reference specimens and molecular data for Fungi [PDF]
DNA phylogenetic comparisons have shown that morphology-based species recognition often underestimates fungal diversity. Therefore, the need for accurate DNA sequence data, tied to both correct taxonomic names and clearly annotated specimen data, has ...

We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...

We obtained potential bacterial laccase‐like multicopper oxidase (LMCO) sequences through metagenomic sequencing. All sequences exhibited significant differences from known LMCOs in databases. To select the most promising candidates, we performed structure prediction and molecular docking using alphafold2, metal3d and rosetta.

Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) as Dna Barcoding to Identify Fungal Species: a Review
Despite the fact that fungi are important sources of both bioactive compounds and mycotoxins, and that they are very ubiquitous in our environment, their species identification is hampered by incomplete and often unclear literature.

Monitoring Fungal Communities With the Global Spore Sampling Project
The kingdom Fungi is a megadiverse group represented in all ecosystem types. The global diversity and distribution of fungal taxa are poorly known, in part due to the limitations related to traditional fruit-body survey methods.

A Noncanonical DNA Damage Checkpoint Response in a Major Fungal Pathogen [PDF]
In order to preserve genome integrity, all cells must mount appropriate responses to DNA damage, including slowing down or arresting the cell cycle to give the cells time to repair the damage and changing gene expression, for example to induce genes involved in DNA repair.

Paroxysmal Dyskinesias Secondary to HHV‐6A Encephalitis: The First Case Report and Literature Review
ABSTRACT Paroxysmal dyskinesias encompasses a spectrum of conditions marked by intermittent involuntary movements, with paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesias being the most common phenotype. Central nervous system infection is a rare cause of paroxysmal dyskinesias.
